President Marcos expands farm insurance to help farmers recover from disasters Unlike in the past when insurance was limited and too expensive, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured farmers that the government has expanded crop insurance to help them recover from typhoons, droughts, and other disasters. Speaking with farmers in the Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, President Marcos explained that the Department of Agriculture (DA) now provides broader and more affordable coverage, allowing more farmers to receive support when their crops are damaged. “Lahat ng tanim natin ay may insurance. Binibigyan natin ng insurance. So hindi kagaya nung dati, kasi yung iba namamahalan (sa insurance),” the President noted. “At syempre hindi kayang makover lahat.
