NEWS UPDATE! ISRAEL AMBASSADOR MET WITH PRESIDENT BONGBONG MARCOS, JR. THIS AFTERNOON.

The Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines Ilan Fluss met with our President Bongbong Marcos, Jr. this afternoon at the Malacañang Palace. The Israeli Amb. briefed the PBBM on the latest information from Israel on the brutal attacks now being made against his war-torn country. 
During their discussion, the President expressed concern for the three (3) Filipinos that remain unaccounted for in Israel, and the Ambassador assured the President that Israel is doing all it can to ensure the safety of our nationals.
 
The Philippines thanks Israel and more specifically, the Israeli Defence Forces, the IDF, for rescuing over 20 Filipinos and bringing them to safety. 
The President assured Amb. Fluss that the Philippines will always stand with Israel in this war against the inhuman terrorist attacks by Hamas.
We must remember that the diplomatic relationships of the Philippines and Israel dates back in 1950's. Since then,  both countries signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 1997, to institutionalized the bilateral political dialogue berween the respective foreign ministries.
